C.E.N.T.S. HOLDS RESOURCE SEMINAR

Ten future business owners received certificates of completion from the CENTS Microenterprise Program during the Resource Seminar held on November 24th.  Current graduates and past graduates had the opportunity to network with each other and local small business agencies/programs who provided words of wisdom, resource information and practical advice to the future business owners.

The agencies represented included:  Kevin Voisin, Motivitat Seafood and Terrebonne Parish Councilman; Kathryn Gilbert, TEDA; Susan Arcement, LSBDC; Jan Labat, SLEC; Charles Gaiennie, W.L. Gaiennie Company; Cullen Curole, SCPD and Dr. Barbara Holloway, SCORE. 

The C.E.N.T.S. participants took part in an eight week course that focuses on all aspects of getting a small business up and running successfully.  The program is free of charge.  Anyone interested must register for orientation by calling 876-0490 after January 5th.   For more information on the future businesses, please see the Houma Courier article of November 30, 2009 - Click Here.
